ABOUT HILLFEST
”Our story starts simply with a basic fundraising need for our church’s construction program, Build Hope, a project of Hope Fellowship Church in southern New Hampshire. Someone came up with the idea of a concert and in the summer of 2015 we hosted our first artist, Robin Mark, in our local high school auditorium. We then took another step of faith, by bringing Big Daddy Weave, Plumb and Jordan Feliz to the Colonial Theatre in Keene, NH in April 2016. Both of these shows sold out and raised some of the necessary funds to support the construction project. What we didn’t anticipate though was that bringing Christian artists to the Monadnock Region did so much more than raise funds; it united our communities in worship and opened doors to reach out beyond our church walls. Those attending, volunteering and supporting became part of something bigger and more lasting. Something that went beyond a wood and concrete building. The name of Jesus Christ was lifted up and voices worshipped Him together as one. By working together and worshipping together a shift began. It was no longer about just raising funds, but was about trusting God in the new direction He was leading. In the summer of 2016 opportunity arose to host a Citizen Way Teen Concert in Lord’s Valley. This time it wasn’t about construction funds but about providing an event for the young. It was about encouraging them in their relationship with God. A new vision was being born that would unite the communities of the Monadnock Region in worship through music to our Lord Jesus Christ.”
