The CALL

For the first time in more than 10 years, the Call performed two live shows in California with Robert Levon Been (of Black Rebel Motorcycle Club). Robert took over his father’s role and joined Scott Musick, Tom Ferrier, and Jim Goodwin on stage.

The Call officially began as a band in Santa Cruz, California, in 1979. Their self-titled 1982 debut gained acclaim from countless critics and had their music hailed as “uncompromising,” “urgent,” “bristling,” and even “apocalyptic.” Over the next eight years, The Call would release seven heavily praised albums and earn considerable airplay with iconic hits songs like “Let The Day Begin” and “I Still Believe.”

In commemorating the Call's music, this reunion shows were filmed and recorded for a live CD and DVD. These will be unforgettable nights for those who attend, and for those who can’t, this incredible experience can still be yours. To complete a project like this is costly, but will seem like nothing with the support of many. On Friday, March 29, the Call will be launching a campaign through Pledge Music, which will allow you to partner with them in producing this recording.
