What are The SoulFest Games & Uganda Olympics?
The SoulFest Games consist of four games that festival goers can participate and compete in on Thursday and Friday culminating in a championship on Saturday. Daily session are run from 10-11:30am and 12-1:30pm. They start with an overview of the games and rules and end with announcing the winning team and thank yous. Ten to twenty teams of five to ten people will compete at each session in the games. The winning team from each session will compete in the finals on Saturday. Teams can signup at the ChildVoice International booth or at the time of the events, if there are slots available.

Have your team complete the obstacle course in the fastest time. Have your bucket filled to the line in the fastest time. Score ten (10) baskets in the fastest time. To have the most unbroken mangos (ballons) in your bucket.

• Teams start with 3 members at one end of the course and 2 members at the other end.
• The first person in the line has the hoop and stick.
• When the whistle blows they navigate the hoop through the course only using the stick.
• If the hoop falls, pick it up and continue.
• When you reach your teammate on the other end, hand the stick and hoop off to them.
• Time stops when all 5 team members have completed the course.

• Teams start with a full bucket of water.
• First person in line fills their container and puts in on their head and walks to empty bucket.
• No touching the container with their hands once it is on their head.
• When they reach the empty bucket they pour the water into it and run back and give the container to the next person in line.

 

 

 

• The team divides themselves into two groups: 3 shooters and 2 rebounders.
• The rebounders stand on either side of the hoop, shooters behind the line.
• First shooter in line has a basketball, they shoot the ball and go to the end of the line.
• Rebounders get ball and pass it back to the next person in line.

 

 

 

• The team divides themselves into two groups: 2 throwers, 2 catchers, and 1 placer.
• Throwers stand by the ballon bucket, catchers stand by the empty bucket, and the placer stands between them and the bucket.
• Throwers throw the water balloons to the catchers, they give the balloons to the placers who put them into the bucket.
