Nickey has practiced and taught Body-Oriented Psychotherapy for over 19 years, with specialized training in Integrative Holistic Modalities, including Cranio-Sacral, Polarity, Massage and Psychotherapeutic Techniques. Her vision is to expand awareness through the power of touch and to enhance the healing process which is naturally available to us all. To this end, for the past 8 (or 9??) years she has been part of the backstage Soulfest community offering bodywork to performers, producers and staff.

This workshop will be a hands-on demonstration to explore the deep interactive listening skills by therapist and receptive skills by client used in bodywork to unfold the natural healing process inherent within us all. The power of conscious touch therapy lies within an intention to bring spiritual presence in the therapeutic session through focus, skill, and presence. This experience is designed by its practice to ideally ignite our creativity, illuminate our spirituality, and connect us to the divine within us all. When we give and receive body work were encountering the sacred and bringing witness to and instruments of healing on one or many levels. Our touch changes while there are many things to understand about the many wonderful modalities of therapy our touch, our voice, our listening can ignite profound and wonderful changes in the lives of others.
