Chris MacIntosh aka "Grandfather Rock" has been the host of "Rock N Soul Gospel" for almost 26 years making it one of the oldest Christian rock radio shows around. The show can be heard twice a week on WCWP radio, broadcasting out of the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University, just outside New York City. MacIntosh said, " I grew up in and around New York City during the '50's & '60's listening to some of the very best DJ's around. Guys like Alan Freed, Cousin Bruce Morrow, Scott Muni and John Zacherle. I fell in love with rock n roll listening to artists like The Diamonds, Bobby Darin and of course later The Beatles & The Rolling Stones. I did my very first radio show a little over 40 years ago in April of 1968 on KCGN Radio, part of the Armed Forces Radio Network in Vietnam, and have been hooked ever since. After becoming a Christian in 1972 I chose to concentrate my efforts on artists who were expressing their faith and life through their music. I have always loved turning people onto great new music and radio is the perfect medium to do just that. Today I am drawn to the music of performers such as Tom Conlon, Maeve, Bill Mallonee, Sam Phillips and other independent artists because of the honesty in their music. I love doing radio and hope to be at it for quite awhile".

Conveying True Love through Music: Does Contemporary Christian Music Convey the Whole Truth about True Love? - The talk will center around the fact that Christian music can be used for more, much more than just Sunday morning services, youth group meetings and mega-praise events at arena sized venues. Music by believers in Jesus Christ can and should cover every facet of our existence. I don't leave my faith at the door after church on Sunday mornings. If my faith is valid it should have an effect on everything I do. Being a person living with a belief in God does not exempt me from the hard times in life. Our music as well as other aspects of our art, film, literature need to reflect a fully rounded view of the life we lead the sad as well as the joyful.
